In their own words

“EMDR is not magic, but for me it felt pretty close to it.”

Emails from clients, shared with their permission. Names removed.

Client email: Most importantly I have clarity of thought and the ability to initiate change that had ground to a halt. I have a sense of peace I have missed for a long time. The impact is more than I had hoped.
“I have clarity of thought and the ability to initiate change that had ground to a halt.”
Client email: In these 8 weeks with Alexandra, I was able to work through more, at a more profound level that really led to change, than I had been able to do in any of my prior therapy. I guess EMDR is not magic, but for me it felt pretty close to it.

Client email: Working with Alexandra has been so beneficial. Our sessions felt safe and respectful, insightful and caring. We achieved a lot together in a relatively short time.

I offer online EMDR therapy for trauma, CPTSD, anxiety and attachment wounds to clients worldwide, as well as in-person EMDR therapy in Lisbon, Portugal. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy widely recommended for PTSD and complex trauma. I work online with clients across London, the UK, Europe and internationally, and see clients in person in Lisbon. My work is attachment-informed, allowing us to process both early relational wounds and more recent traumatic experiences so that you can move forward with greater emotional freedom, stability and choice.

If you’re considering EMDR therapy, you’re welcome to contact me to arrange an initial consultation and see whether working together feels like the right next step for you.

Life is precious. It’s a gift.

You want to seize it, shape it and create your dream.

A dream which enriches you and your loved ones.

And ripples out to benefit the world.

A life where your heart expands with joy.

Your soul soars with freedom and purpose.

Where you feel deep safety and true belonging.

Without shrinking. Without performing. Without betraying yourself to keep the peace.

Not realistic some might say. But you know settling is unthinkable.

Yet you recognise you need support. You’ve read the books. Done the therapy. Come as far as you can on your own.

But you’re stuck.

Disempowered. Procrastinating. Scared. Not trusting . Self -criticising . Abandoning parts of yourself in order to fit in. Over -accommodating others. Playing small. Self -sacrificing. Role-playing. Or playing out hidden loyalties that keep you chained.

You need someone to help figure out your blind spots. The subtle and ingenious ways you self-sabotage. Someone who understands your vision. Someone who can help you connect up the dots.

Someone who supports you to reclaim all the parts of yourself. The powerful parts. The creative parts. The trusting parts. The worthy parts.

The right kind of support to help you break through.

And create the abundant life of your dreams.

A Warm Welcome!

I’m Alexandra, an attachment-informed EMDR Therapist and Gestalt Therapist. I trained for 6 years at the Gestalt Centre, London in the UK. I got accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy in 2015 and by the EMDR Association UK and Europe in 2019. I divide my time between London, UK and Lisbon, Portugal. I work online and in-person (in Lisbon). I support you to heal trauma, anxiety, and self-sabotage—so that you have the power to create the joyful, free yet safe life of your dreams.

Who I Work With

I work with women and men who are thoughtful, motivated and willing to look honestly at themselves. You may have already done some inner work (not a prerequisite), read the books, reflected deeply — and sense there is another layer ready to be explored.

You know something needs to shift. You feel the cost of staying the same. And you’re ready to engage in consistent, depth-oriented work now — not someday.

Many of my clients are navigating attachment trauma, complex trauma (CPTSD), major life transitions or identity shifts. Some are living internationally or adjusting to life in Lisbon and looking for English-speaking, depth-oriented therapy.

You’re Not Meant to Stay Where You Are

A lone tree on the rim of a canyon

At some point, coping stops being enough.

The strategies that once kept you safe begin to feel restrictive. The patterns that once protected you begin to cost you.

Trauma responses are intelligent adaptations. They are not character flaws.

But there comes a moment when staying the same costs more than changing.

If you’re here, you likely feel that moment.

I help you reclaim all of you — and build from there.

Let’s talk about what you need and see if we’re a good fit.
